The story

The Futuro was a portable, prefabricated house shaped like a flying saucer, designed by the Finnish architect Matti Suuronen in the 1960s. Roughly 100 of them were made, and the surviving ones turn up around the world. This one sits along Central Avenue in Carlisle, north of Cincinnati, where its round white shell looks strangely at home beside the road.
