The story of this land

Eden Park sits on a hill above the Ohio River in Cincinnati's Mount Adams neighborhood. For Buckeye Trail hikers it is the southern terminus, the place where the trail's blue blazes end at a vista of the Ohio River valley. The Seasongood Pavilion, a natural amphitheater in the park, hosts concerts and public events, and the hilltop neighborhood around it is walkable.

The trail leaves Eden Park and heads north along the Little Miami River through Milford and Loveland, roughly following the Little Miami Scenic Trail back toward the loop.

Where the Blue Blazes Meet the River

Somewhere along the Buckeye Trail, every hiker who goes all the way ends up here or starts here. The trail's southern end is not a wilderness; it is a city park on a hill, with an amphitheater and a view of the Ohio River.

From the other end of the trail, a beach on Lake Erie, to this bluff above the river, the blazes cross the whole state.

The trail association describes the southern terminus as a vista of the Ohio River valley at Eden Park in Cincinnati, and the northern terminus as Headlands Beach State Park on Lake Erie.
