The story

Granville was settled by New Englanders in the early 1800s, and it keeps a New England look, with a college on a hill. The byway passes along the eastern campus of Denison University, past farms and residential districts, and by ancient burial grounds, including the Alligator Effigy Mound, one of the state's few effigy mounds.
