The story

The byway is highlighted by rolling hills, tree-lined cliffs and overlooks, and it represents the legacy of two presidents of the United States, William Henry Harrison and his grandson Benjamin Harrison. Travelers learn how the region influenced them and how they influenced it. Canals, tunnels and covered bridges built in their time were engineering models for their day, and higher education is the Harrisons' continuing legacy. Small-town life is celebrated with town-square concerts, country fairs and craft festivals.
