The story

Quaker settlers moved into southwest Ohio in the early 1800s, many of them to live in a free state and out of opposition to slavery, and the byway follows their communities. Its sites include Quaker meeting houses and the first school for free African Americans in Harveysburg. The loop connects the historic towns of Waynesville and Wilmington and crosses the Little Miami Scenic Trail and Caesar Creek State Park.
